Clerk of Courts

It is the belief of the Defiance County Clerk of Courts Office that we are here to serve the taxpayers of Defiance County and the taxpayers are not dependent upon us but we upon the taxpayers.

I began my term as Clerk of Courts in January 2009. The Clerk of Courts is an elected position for a term of four years.

The duties of the Clerk of Courts are:

1. Keeper of the records for the Defiance County Common Pleas Court;
2. Keeper of the records for Defiance County for the Third District Court of Appeals;
3. Motor vehicle and watercraft titles.
